Liverpool Football Club has unveiled its new Liverpool Home Kit 2019/20, a new jersey with classic stripes designed to pay tribute to legendary coach Bob Paisley.
The
most striking design element of Liverpool’s new season home jersey is
naturally the white stripes that reappear on the jersey. The details of
the home jersey from the 1980s lead people to recall the glorious
moments when Bob Paisley’s “Red Army” won many championships at home and
abroad.
The
new white striped shirt is a more modern way to recreate the style of
the shirt that Bob Paisley wore when he won the League and League Cup
trophies in 1982/83, the last season when he took the helm of the Red
Army.
The
golden “Liverpool” badge was placed in front of the shirt to show the
glorious history of the Premier League giant team and to pay tribute to
Bob Paisley, who brought the team into a glorious era. In addition, the
New Balance Logo on the chest is also decorated with gold elements.
This
year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bob Paisley, the
legendary Liverpool coach, who signed Bob Paisley in a red collar with a
white border, reminding people not to forget the legend who dedicated
his life to Liverpool. Like previous season’s jerseys, the “96” flame
logo was still added under the collar to commemorate the 96 Liverpool
fans who were killed in the Hillsborough tragedy.
Liverpool captain Henderson Biao said: “The New Home Liverpool Jersey
looks extraordinary. It’s the best way to pay tribute to Bob Paisley,
one of the greatest coaches in the club’s history, and the best way to
make everyone remember the legendary head coach.”
