Hertha Berlin Football Club and Nike jointly released a special version of the "Nauerfall" Hertha Berlin Jersey in front of the Berlin Wall to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
On November 9, 1989, tens of thousands of citizens took to the streets and demolished the Berlin Wall, which divided Berlin into two parts, historically known as the "Berlin Wall collapsed". This act marked the beginning of the end of the Cold War between East and West, as well as the reunification of Berlin and Germany. Today, Berlin still retains a small section of the Berlin Wall as a memorial and historical witness, attracting a large number of tourists to visit.
Just two days after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Hertha Berlin, from the Federal Republic of Germany, played a match with the visiting democratic German team Vattenshayd 09 at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. This "Nauerfall" special edition Jersey faithfully reproduces the jersey worn by Hertha Berlin in the match 30 years ago. Except for the same white shirt with shiny dark lines, the club name "HERTHA BSC" on the front of the shirt and the Berlin bear pattern in the blue shirt are exactly the same.
Hertha players in Berlin show the special version of the Hertha Berlin Jersey to the public in front of the remains of the Berlin Wall, and it will be worn in the Bundesliga league with RB Leipzig on November 9. It is worth mentioning that, in addition to the match time coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the RB Leipzig against Hertha Berlin is also a team from the former East Germany (the former Democratic German team Leipzig locomotive).
