On August 15, 1949, Suwon was upgraded from a county to a city. The new Suwon Samsung Bluewings Jersey was inspired by this. The commemorative jersey, created by Diaf Korea, the official partner of the club, follows the club's blue tradition. The front and back of the Suwon Samsung Bluewings Jersey are added to the maps of the city of Suwon 70 years ago and now, respectively, to show the tremendous changes of the Korean city in the past 70 years.
The badge for the 70th anniversary of the founding of Suwon City, which is composed of blue and red, appeared on the chest of the jersey, further emphasizing the commemorative significance of the jersey. Henry's collar and sleeves make the new Suwon Samsung Bluewings look more casual, with blue, white and red stripes from the club badge added to the collar and cuffs. White pants and red socks make up the complete image of Suwon Samsung Bluewings 70th anniversary jersey.
