The new Club Nacional de Football shirt is based on sky blue, which represents Uruguay's football tradition. It is also the color of Uruguay's national team shirt. The dark lines of the national style of the Jersey originated from the handmade textiles of the indigenous Charruas living in the Pampas area. The Club Badge made by embroidery technology is placed on the chest of the shirt, and red and white decorations are added to the collar and cuffs to visually form the image of the Atijas flag of Jose Hervassio Artijas, leader of the Uruguay Independence Movement.
A specially designed badge was added under the collar of Club Nacional de Football Jersey to commemorate the historic moment when the Uruguay national team, formed in 1903 under Club Nacional de Football, defeated the Argentine national team away.
