AS Roma Away Jersey 2019/20

The Italian Roma Football Club has jointly released the team's new AS Roma Away Jersey 2019/20. Like the Home Jersey previously released, the Away Jersey also includes a lightning pattern representing Jupiter, the king of the ancient Roman mythology.


The new Away Jersey takes white as the keynote, which is also the classic design of the Rome away jersey. The giant lightning pattern symbolizing Jupiter appeared on the front of the jersey. In addition to representing Jupiter, the king of the gods, the lightning pattern is also a symbol of the unity and fighting spirit of Rome. Therefore, designers hope that through this detailed design to motivate the team in the new season to guard the home court, win the victory, reproduce the brilliance and make every effort. In addition, the red and golden colours that make up the lightning pattern are also important colours in the badges of the Roman Football Club.


Simple and comfortable sports V collar joins the magic scroll pattern originating from the club nickname "La Magica" (Magic). The Roman number "MCMXXVII" on the scroll represents 1927, which is the year when the club was founded.
Wine-red pants and white socks together constitute the classic image of Rome's away jersey. Lightning pattern and club name "AS ROMA" are added to the socks.


"When you blend the colours that represent the city of Rome with the ancient Roman mythology, you get a new image with great power," said Peter Hopins, senior design director of Nike football clothing. "Lightning is the inspiration for the Rome jersey of the 2009/20 season. I think both the home and the away Roma jersey of the new season have it.
