Inter Milan's Home Jersey for the 2019/20 season was inspired by the classic away jersey worn by the Blue and Black Legion in the 1989/90 season. The diagonal stripes on the chest skillfully intersect with the traditional blue and black vertical lines. Diagonal diagonal stripes are also a key element in the old team logo used by Inter Milan between 1978 and 1988. These stripes have become the focus of the shirt. White V-collar and sleeve decoration also reflect the fineness of the shirt.
The addition of a well-designed badge to the collar of the shirt highlights the "inner pride" of the Blue and Black Legion and pays tribute to more international Milan traditions. It is shaped like a St. George's Cross, highlighting the connection between the club and Milan City. In addition, there is a star and the words "Inter Milan" and "1908" to commemorate the year when the club was founded. The New Jersey is paired with black jersey and blue-black socks. The blue-black design of socks is directly drawn from the neck of the snake elf, the club's classic symbol.
"Inter Milan has strong local characteristics, so it is a challenge to design the club's iconic stripes in a modern and subversive way, while respecting the club's long and rich traditions," said Peter Hopins, senior director of football costume design at Nike. "We reviewed the iconic stripes on the inter milan Jersey of 1989 and the club's old badge, which led us to think of this very classic, unconventional front stripe design."
